Wedding Venue: Nantahala Wedding Venue, North Carolina

When it comes to saying “I do” in the North Carolina mountains, Nantahala Wedding Venue is a dream location. Tucked away in the heart of the Nantahala National Forest, this venue offers sweeping views, intimate spaces, and plenty of hidden corners that make it a photographer and videographer’s paradise. We recently had the honor of capturing Adrianna & Tyler’s wedding here, and we can’t wait to share both the experience and this incredible venue.
Getting Ready: The Bridal & Groom’s Suites

One of the things we love most about Nantahala Wedding Venue is how thoughtfully it’s designed for couples on their big day. The bridal suite and groom’s suite is in the same building; Which is perfect for communication and planning purposes! The bridal suite upstairs in a light-filled and spacious space, it’s perfect for hair, makeup, and quiet, emotional pre-ceremony moments with your bridesmaids. Downstairs, the groom’s suite provides a relaxed hangout for the guys, complete with room to laugh, watch your favorite sports, and share a last celebratory toast. And my favorite spot, was a cozy fireplace area to take photos with your wedding party. Having these separate spaces makes the morning feel smooth, relaxed, and perfectly tailored to each couple.
The Ceremony: Mountain Views to Remember

The ceremony space at Nantahala is breathtaking. It’s literally a Chapel in the Sky, like the sign suggests out by the entrance. It’s nestled against a backdrop of rolling mountains and towering trees, it feels both grand and intimate. Whether couples choose a simple arch or a more elaborate floral installation, the natural beauty of this spot does most of the work. As photographers and videographers, we’re always in awe of how the mountain light shifts throughout the day. Every ceremony here feels unique in it’s own light. It’s also the perfect backdrop to get those family and wedding party photos before or after the ceremony.
Reception: Celebration in Style

After the ceremony, is the gorgeous reception area which transforms into a warm, welcoming space for dinner and dancing. This also where your cocktail hour will be where your guests can spaciously mingle. The combination of rustic mountain charm and elegant details makes it versatile for any wedding style. From golden-hour toasts to late-night dance floor energy, it’s the perfect place to celebrate surrounded by family, friends, and unforgettable views.
Trails & Secret Garden: Hidden Gems for Photos at Nantahala Wedding Venue
For couples who want a little adventure, Nantahala offers more than just a ceremony and reception. The wooded trails and secret garden area are some of our favorite spots for portraits. These tucked-away locations give couples a chance to step aside, breathe, and soak in the moment together, while we capture those authentic, intimate shots. These quiet escapes always end up being some of the most cherished photos of the day. Our Bride and Groom Adrianna & Tyler, wanted to do their private vows down in the Secret Garden; A small trailed off space that is placed directly in front of a spectacular mountainous view.
